Meet our Staff
Jon Dimond has been with Habitat for a year as our Outreach Manager. His job includes advocating for Affordable Housing in Iron and Washington County as well as running our volunteer program. We never know what a day will bring at Habitat, but Jon is always willing to jump into a project and help us make a difference in Southern Utah.

Shortage of affordable and available homes
for extremely low-income renters:
-45,4215
This is the number of homes that would have to be built or otherwise made available to adequately house all extremely low-income renters in Utah. Habitat for Humanity serves as a voice for people in need of decent housing
by working to change laws and shape policies that affect access to housing. Our advocacy approach is based on decades of on-the-ground
experience and policy expertise. In our deep understanding of housing and its role in providing opportunities for families, we seek to reform laws in a nonconfrontational, nonpartisan way

“Habitat for Humanity has been blessed over the years by tremendous community support,” says Kayo Skandunas, Executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. “We rely on the support of local businesses to help us keep the costs of building down. Especially in the last few years where building prices have skyrocketed. “
