The last few months have been super busy for us at Habitat. We are building a new Habitat Home, working on a Home Preservation projects here in our Community, and actively making the ReStore better everyday. None of this would be possible without our amazing Habitat volunteers! Read more about our build site volunteers here.
We have had such amazing groups come work with us in the last few months and we want to share what wonderful work they have done and thank them for their time.
SUU Student Service Club came to the ReStore and helped us paint shelves, measure and wrap blinds, and organize the lighting section. This was a great group of kids that just wanted to give back to their community!
Youth Groups- We have had quite a few youth groups come to the ReStore lately to help us with some small are large projects. Without their help the store would not look as good as it does!
Girl Scouts- This great group of girl scouts from Diamond Valley has been working with Habitat for years! This time they came and learned all about recycling and reusing items. Then they helped us paint some bird houses to give to our Habitat homeowners!
DSU came out for their Big D Day of service with over 40 volunteers, on a sunny Saturday, to help us paint a house for an elderly couple. They did such an amazing job and we couldn't have done it without them!
The Lost Bus crew spent a few weeks volunteering at the ReStore and it was such a fantastic experience. They travel the US volunteering as they go! We loved having them at the ReStore and they made a huge impact on us. Read about their adventures on The Lost Bus Facebook page.
Thank you to all of our wonderful Volunteers!
