Krista Longhurst is the Director of Community Involvement for Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. Krista started her career at Habitat in 2014 when she was hired as the assistant manager for the ReStore. Since then, she has been instrumental in expanding Habitat's presence in the community and she has made lasting impressions with volunteers, dignitaries and the Board of Directors. Krista moved from Idaho to work as a sociology instructor at Dixie State University, but later realized that community involvement is her passion, and we are fortunate to have her. Krista earned a bachelors degree in Sociology from Idaho State University and a Masters degree in Sociology from Idaho State University as well.
Why do you work at Habitat for Humanity?
Working at Habitat for Humanity is easy because I love my job. I am making a difference in my community because I am helping people achieve home ownership. Ultimately, I want to live in a world where poverty housing doesn't exist.
