Non Profit Marketing Internship-Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is looking for a student intern for the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2018 Semester to work as the Marketing Intern. This intern will be working closely with Lil Barron, the Director of Development and Community Relations, to create an implement a marketing strategy for the coming year.

The internship will be focused on marketing and advertising for Habitat for Humanity, including press releases, radio PSA’s, print and media ads, social media, website, and advertising for fundraisers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a marketing strategy for the 2018-2019 year.
  • Create and distribute a newsletter for Habitat every other month.
  • Collaborate on updating the Habitat website.
  • Help with the planning and organizing of Habitat fundraisers.

Skills preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Social Media and basic website management
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to engage new contacts in a professional manner
  • Self Starter
  • Creative
  • Organized

10-12 Hours a week on a set schedule

 

Retail Marketing and Outreach Intern-Habitat for Humanity ReStore

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for a student for the Spring and Summer 2018 Semesters to work as the retail and marketing outreach intern. This intern will be working closely with Tat Chan, the ReStore Manager, to create and implement a marketing strategy for the coming year.

The internship will be focused on the marketing for ReStore inventory, events, sales, and the increasing of donations and sales.

Develop and implement a Marketing strategy for fiscal year 2018-2019 including:

  • Manage the Social media pages for the ReStore- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter with a minimum of 2 posts per week to each platform
  • Develop a working Donor list of major ReStore Donors
  • Create and Implement a Door Hanger Program
  • Create and Distribute flyers for upcoming ReStore events and sales
  • Create and Distribute a ReStore Flyer with new items once a month

Technical Writing and Grant Research Internship-Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah

Habitat for Humanity is looking for a student for the Spring, Summer, and Fall 2018 Semesters to work as the Technical writing and Grant Research intern. This intern will be working closely with Linda Baker, the Executive Director of Habitat, to assist us in communicating information in a clear, concise, and accurate way for our policies.

The internship will be focused on updating and creating policy and procedure manuals as well as researching grants so that Habitat can further its mission of affordable housing in southern Utah.

Responsibilities:

  • Update current Habitat policy manuals
  • Create new Policies
  • Research grant opportunities
  • Collaborate with Habitat Grant writer
  • Edit, Clarify, and proofread documents written by others
